CB antenna mount

I bought a bracket from Shawn on this site (Muddy Oval). It was a copy of the old SG mount and it worked great. Check the "Parts For Sale" section and look for a thread titled "Safari Guard rear worklight bracket w/ cb mount hole." I don't know if Shawn has any brackets left, but it's a high quality piece and in the posts there are links to photos and a Safari Guard instruction sheet. One of these days I'll get a picture of the installed product and get it posted.

Take two pieces of 1/8" thick mild steel. (3" wide piece of strap from Lowe's or Home Depot.) Cut to about 4 to 5" long and weld at right angle to each other. Cut holes to match those holding the license plate light on one surface. Cut another 4" to 5" piece to go on the inside of the tub as a backing plate. Grind to look beautiful and paint. Takes about an hour. I have a little Eastwood powdercoater I use as the final step, but bottom line it is one of the easiest fabrication projects you can do on a 90. If you got some scrap metal it's zero cost. Even if you have to buy the strap at Lowe's it probably less than $10. Shoot make them as Christmas gifts for your friends
