Smile Carpet/ insulating and Radio Replacement

Just got a 1988 Defender 110. The radio is dead! Any recommendations on replacement? I have had one person recommend Alpine CDE143BT? Also I need to insulate and replace carpet need advice on material and carpet kit . THANKS Any other advice or comments. Thanks

Look at Exmoore. For the radio, but whatever suits your needs the best.

Closed cell rubber and "DynaMat" are the 2 things that reduce noise transmission. Jute and other cloth type materials do virtually nothing except hold moisture to rot out your floor boards. Don't be a fool and buy the high priced DynaMat material as many here do, MSC sell equally as good of product for less than 1/2 the money.

Big fan of rubber matting for Land Rovers for all the reasons stated above. I went the dynamat route.
If you want carpet use truck bed carpet.

I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.
