Cap / Rotor

Probably a stupid question but I can't get my rotor ( distributor) off.. shouldn't it slide straight off, or am I missing something?

Do you mean the distributor, or just the cap, or just the rotor? The cap has 2 clips that hold it on. The rotor just pulls straight out (up) from the base, although I've had them be stuck on there pretty hard.

Make sure to mark it before you pull it out!

Doesn't it only go on one way?

I ment the distributer as a unit. But the cap can go on 180 out of wack also, I'm not sure on the rotor.
