Can someone with a stock truck take a measurement for me?

Hi Guys,

Can somebody with stock tires and stock lift measure from the front top of fender straight to the ground? The flat fender with the vents by the hood. Preferably near the roll cage? I am trying to figure out exactly how much lift I have now that I changed everything. Just curious. Thanks

I have stock suspension and 265/75 BF AT so may be that setup will give you a close to stock measurement. I'm not completely stock because the truck came with 205/85. I'll check today and let you know.

Okay,

But did the stock Defender come with 205/85 like was posted? 16in rim? I always thought that they had a 31in tire stock? If I can get that info, I can figure out exactly how much lift I have. I am very curious at this point.

Basically most stock defenders had a 31.5in-32in tire.

Thanks.

Okay,

So for those interested, the total spring lift that I run is.......................1.25in.

It's fun to know for me at least. Thanks

Any luck on my pimpin bushings? I got a yearning to wheel pretty bad. Although the radiator is out of it.

This thread is useless without pics!

So if the spring list if 1.25", what's your current tire size, and overall lift? How much extra spring travel do you have over stock?

thanks,
charles

Tires are 39.5's. Measure pretty true. Front fender height is 50in. Front is 5in stuff and 9in droop, rear is 6in stuff and 10 droop.

Cheers!

Yeah that's pretty amazing. Remind me what you ended up doing engine/gearing wise. I have a friend with a ho-made rock racer and a stroked Jeep inline 6 who wants to go to an LS series engine for more HP and torque. I'm not sure what his top end speed is but its well under 60mph right now.

Thanks. I have a boring old 300Tdi. I changed the t-case to 1.2 and run 6.20 in the diffs. Believe it or not, that little motor took me near 80 across the desert screaming at 4k rpm. I even passed two rigs running 100% with big V8's through the open desert. The suspension is more important to go fast than an abundance of power. However, I am underpowered for the open desert by a lot. Okay through the whoops.
