Can someone help me ID this NAS 95 D90 Part???

Pulled my 1995 NAS D90 ST out of the garage after the winter and found this part on the ground in the garage. Over the winter I changed out the battery and pulled all the accessories out from under the seat in the battery compartment to clean everything. There may be a chance i knocked this part loose.

Anyhow the part is RED in color and made out of a tiny piece of sheetmetal. It doesn't look like the part is damaged as there is no crack lines and the part coloring is intact on all the edges.

It looks to be possibly a wire-stay or hold-down of some sort and most likely hooks into something.

This will drive me crazy until i get to the bottom of it

Anyone out there recognize this clip?

Thank you

Wish I could help you, but this is very similar to a thread I started when I first got my 90. Found a spring, thought it was off my truck, drove me crazy. Ended up being a part off a set of pliers

Is this spring from a D90? - Defender Source

Is that not one of those clips that comes on a quart can of paint etc, when shipped? One end bent as it does when taken it off a can.

Still looking for that place where I can carry a paddle and get asked what's that.

Looks like one leg of the metal spring nut that goes into the seat box to hold the center panel in place.
