Can I use a Dome light switch for hella lights

I have a 95 ST..with a dome light switch. It doesn't appear the dome light switch controls anything. Is this switch orginial equip? Being it has three positions...I'm assuming its ON--OFF--ON........OFF being the middle position. Can I use the dome light switch to control a pair of lights with one of the ON settings, and all four lights in the other ON position? I'm planning on using two relays...thanks for any help!!!

On the soft top, the light switch is part of the light above the rearview mirror. One on is when the door is opened and the other on is just on. Is there another light switch you are alluding to?

Maybe, post a picture of this, as I am not sure what switch you are describing... It should work, as long as you use relays and it is set up correctly, since the switch in the cab only turns the relay on.

my 95 has a two position dimmer switch, dim and cant hardly see. I am using one for my rear work lamp, I think its for the 110 dome light? Mine is off/on/on, I am using the double lamp. Why not just get the switch for the right hand side of the steering cowl for your hellas?

You will be using a relay, so almost any switch will do. I like covered switches so that I know when they're on.
