Can anyone tell me what this is?

First post on here, but have found this forum to be incredibly helpful and informative as a new Defender owner. I recently found this cord unattached and wrapped around the driver side front brake hose and zip tied in place by the previous owner. Can anyone tell me what it is? It goes into the driver side of the front axle but I cannot find a place where the other side should belong, and have absolutely no idea what the purpose is.

Breather tubes. They vent hot air out so you don't pressurize your axle and blow out a seal when they get hot.

Just find the highest point you can reach it to, and zip tie it off there.
