Can anyone confirm that a 95 Disco 1 came with a rear limited slip

I am trying to confirm that the 1995 Discovery 1s came factory with a limited slip rear differential. Can anyone confirm that as fact or fiction? Thank you,
Clay

Sounds like BS to me. The only factory LSD that I'm aware of came in a few 109s in the mid '60s. A dealer may have added a TrueTrac as an upgrade but not from the factory AFAIK.

New LR3's and Range Rover Sport's have an option for an electronic rear limited slip diff.

is it a limited slip, or an actual locker? It is an electronically activated locker...

Land Rover calls it a "active locking rear differential". It isn't selectable though. I forget which actions trigger it, but I know if you go into the 4x4info screen it will show you when it locks. It depends on low or hi and I think what terrain response mode you select. Its been a while since I have played with one though.

Yeah, it's not selectable, it's electronically controlled by the traction control system... I've only engaged mine once... and a wheel was off the ground.. i believe you need to be in low gear and perhaps rock crawl mode... when slippage is detected, it locks... which is similar to a limited slip in engagement, but I believe it is a full locker, putting 50/50 power to the wheels, where a limited slip puts up to 80% of the torque to an individual wheel.
