Buying a Disco for parts

Any opinions on buying a 1996 Disco to use for parts for a 1994 NAS D90 ?

There is one that has been for sale for ever here, I think the guy would take 500$-700$ for the Disco. I know I could use the rims for my winter tires, but what about the rest of the truck... I would have the space to save a lot of drive train and other parts... but would it be worth it ?

Depends on what you plan on harvesting from the disco. Block, heads, diffs, t-case, axel shafts, CVs all fit. Some other stuff too,

Better to buy a 94/95 for parts then the ecu sensors etc are good for spares.

96-99 Disco I Y-Pipe will fit 97 model D90, I believe earlier models do not interchange?

There is something different between autos and manuals. I am not sure what or if it can be made to work. You can use a later GEMS y-pipe in an earlier truck, but you have to plug the two extra O2 holes.

If anyone needs a y pipe, I can get my hands on one out of a 96.

I don't know, but it is worth a shot.

I am doing a diesel conversion - if you want a Y-pipe w/ cats you can have mine - just come pick it up or pay for a lot of shipping :-)

Thanks, so if I get it cheap, it could be worth it. I can resell the body for scrap alu at about 1$ per lb.
