Bumper Coat

Hey all,
I need to remove my bumper (with winch) and repaint the thing. With a winch being present, is it possible to remove the bumper and not the winch?

That husky is one heavy winch I think you are going to have to remove it.

I guess you could get creative and put a steel plate across the frame horns to bolt it to temporarily but to do it right it would be more work than disconnecting a couple of cables.

Finished

I ended up removing the entire assembly, sliding it off using stands. Though it was risky.
The thing must have weighed in at 80-90kgs.
Once on the ground, removed the Winch. Hammered and ground the crap out of the bumper to get the rust off.
Recoated with Hammerite and finish sprayed it twice.
Getting it back on was difficult but not as hard as I thought.
Looks good now!
Though this was almost 1.5 years ago.
