bulkhead removal question

My shop is getting close to actually lifting my old bulkhead off and swapping it for the new straight one I bought a little while back. One question: is there a trick to routing the engine harness through? There doesn't seem to be a plug or any easy way to break it. It seems the tedious brute force way of pushing it through is the only option. Just wanted to make sure.

You have to unplug from the engine bay side and snake it into the cab.

Push the rubber grommet out then push small groups of cables out and not everything at once. Start with the smallest connectors and work to the largest ones last. It's actually not too bad.

It is really not hard at all to get the wiring through the bulkhead. Just label everything well and you will be fine. Wiring the inside of the dash is much worse (particularly on a NAS 110) than the engine, even on a NAS EFI truck.

I agree, I was laughing bc the lack of real info to help, and the OP's sarcasm... You are 100% right take your time and label everything

Brute force is only required if you try to push it through without removing the grommet first. The holes are actually pretty big.

Hope that helps.
