Bulkhead Removal

I have a 110 with a very good bulkhead and I would like to keep it that way. I have been thinking about taking the bulkhead out and getting it galvanized. To anyone that has done this before are there any tricks to getting it out quicker or do I just start stripping?

If it's in good nick then save a load of hassle and waxoil it. I will be on my build. My last 90, a99 td5 had been waxoiled from new and was in very good nick.

Marcus is right on. Galvanizing only helps as the zinc doesn't flow into the double layered parts that are the most rust prone. I do galvanize bulkheads for new builds but still use waxoyl cavity wax liberally and repeat at least once a year.

Do I just spray the entire surface? Are there cavities that I need to drill to get better access? Thanks.
