There is a small plate (1.5" x 4") around the Clutch Master Cylinder which was missing on my truck. It sounds like this is a piece which is often forgotten when working on the clutch. Without this piece, heated air from the engine compartment is pushed through the firewall into the driver foot well when moving.

I thought it was an engineering marvel from Land Rover to keep your footsees warm.
