Lightbulb Building a D-90

The subject probably says it all, but this all started when I found a 3.9 motor behind our shop on Thursday. The conversation went from "nice spare", to "bore it out for a better performance spare", to "lets build a Defender to put it in."

Any ideas on where to find a 90 with no engine? What should I look out for?

Thanks in Advance

Andrew

Hi Andrew, it's about time you made it onto the bulletin board

How about putting it in a Series? This guy's local and for $1K it's hard to go wrong.

Better late than never I really want to do a D-90, as I've wanted one since I bought my first Disco in 95. I'm at the point now where I can justify it as a daily driver, 4 miles round trip. I'm thinking about redoing the engine as well with Rimmer stuff, so that should be fun.

I hear you, I love owning a D90 (even if I can't settle on a model).

Be sure to keep us updated on your project, sounds like a lot of fun.

Why does your profile say Denver, CO (for now) You can't move away from here! I've done it twice, and always come back.

Wife and I are planning to move to the UK (home for her) in 5-10 years although we'll probably try to keep property here so we don't lose the link to Colorado.
My family are all here so it shouldn't be too difficult.
Long-term goal is to retire in Spain (where we got engaged).
