Brake question

Hello.
Quick question.
I'm installing new brake pads.
Old pads have these thin metal plates on the backs.
New pads did not come with thin plates.
Should I reinstall thin played or just forget them?

Forget them. As you can see, there is an anti-squeal pad already applied to the new part.
