Brake Caliper

I need a new brake caliper for my 85 defender 90. I called rovers north and it is $700.+ I see that are lots of places in the UK . Is there anyone domestically that sells this item? The part number is RTC 73837

Cheers,

Roger

Call roverguy and ask for the D90 upgrade package sold for disco I. It is two new D90 calipers, two new vented rotors and new pads. It is ~$400. Since it fits a NAS 110, I don't see why it would not work for your application.

Or just buy two disco I calipers. Or just buy the rebuild kit with pistons for cheap.

Bottom line is $700 is insane.

I just bought 2 calipers for my 94 d90 paid $ 169.00 each ( actually I bought all breaks, seals, rotors, pads, and the front cal ) for $ 600.00

The passenger side needs rebuild, the driver side is okay.

Planning to change them tomorrow or thursday.

Let me know if you can use them

In the UK, as you mention there are lots of places. Maybe you can try the X-MOD, they have good prices sometimes that offset the cost of shipping http://www.thexmod.com/search_result...earch&offset=0

You can get rebuilt calipers for a Disco I for under $100 a side. For $700 you could buy an entire used front axle off a Disco 1 from hub to hub.

Remember -- Rovers North = source of last resort.

I have a new one..I can sell it as I already replace both side on my 110... Hence the question: What side?
