borla stench of exhaust

I have my back window out in my 90 and I have a borla. I honestly feel like the exhaust is feeding directly into the truck. Is having the back window out causing a vacuum? I know a couple of people who have had similar complaints. Just wondering.

I ran my truck like this for a while with no exhaust smell. Check for a leak... could of punctured the exhaust backing into a shopping cart.

Check the joint where the borla meets the y-pipe as borlas are made in a way that makes them not quite fit right.

I just don't like anything made by Borla. Extensive experience with their sports car lines has forced me to go a different direction if at all possible. Bassani has been good to me. My Defenders is made by a friend that owns a muffler shop.

As far as I know this is by far the best solution.

I'm in the same boat and while I appreciate my southern heritage I am not interested in the photo solutions posted as of yet.

I've been ignoring the stench since my truck stinks anyway but now am trying to remember if it smelled this bad before the Borla. I have a hard top on my truck and it still smells, no vacuum effect for me.

So far it looks like I need to check the y-pipe connection and the connection after the muffler? Should there be a gasket or any kind of sealant at either connection or will it be metal on metal?

Thanks,
Alex

I have a Borla with a Badger II. I regularly run with the back section out or with just the back window rolled up and no exhaust smell at all for me. Maybe something else?
