how about performance increase...I realize my D90 will never be a porsche but is there a noticable increase in power with the after market high flow exhausts.

I had the full NRP set up on a '94 ST, power gains were felt even with a Mantec snorkel. It felt like I got more gains with the cats than the cat back exhaust. Only problem was the exhaust tip tarneshed(turned golden in color) after less than two thousand miles. AND, the tail pipe came off its rubber mounts. You should keep on eye on that or get better one's made if you go the NRP route.

I'm running the Borla exhaust and headers on a J**p now and am getting great performance and better mileage. Has lived up to my expectaions for last 2 years.

After reading this thread I decided to try Magnaflow. Called them and they said they don't have anything for my truck. What model / part number muffler / tailpipe are you all using?

You could also go with the Flowmaster 40 series if Magnaflow is being difficult. I would think that they sound and perform the same. Unless someone knows differently.

I have a custom bent SS exhaust with a Magna flow muffler and Borla tip. cost me less that $ 400 cat back. Nice sound that mellows with use.

I put a true duel SS exhaust on my 99 RR with a Magnaflow muffler and Magnaflow tips. It sounds like a vette when you get on it : )

Nothing to say about the flowmaster. I have a Magnaflow currently and I really like the way it sounds. I have driven a SW with a borla and I think the Magnaflow may have been a little louder. THe low end sounds good with the Magnaflow. I want the Borla because i like the rear section but I dont think it will work with mudflaps.
