Bonnet mounted intake

Anyone have any experience/insight into bonnet-mounted intakes? COR4 is the only one I've found. Seems like it could be an alternative for those (such as myself) that don't prefer the looks of the usual mantec-style intakes. Although it looks to effectively raise the air intake point only by a foot.

First thing that came to mind when I saw the picture was getting into deep water that washed over the bonnet, up on the bulkhead and windscreen and back into the intake - hydrolocking the motor

Probably unlikely but I've had water come up that far crossing rivers and driving into a hole.
