I have the wing and bonnet protectors and love them. Walk on them all the time too. No probs. It was kind of nerve racking at first drilling holes into the truck, but the truck has dents and scratches anyway.

I say go for it. Got mine from Equipe.

Decal on my yellow 90 is visible in this photo. On my current project I got my 5bar bonnet cover from Drakken.

Full bonnet looks bad. Take a look for yourself. E-bay link

Almost midnight, can't sleep, so what else would I do but look for porn, rover porn. Found this pretty girl on ebay, Low miles, but she had a full bonnet plate. Very distracting. The recessed bonnet chequer plate looks great if one wants one. Hides dings and other blemishes. A tougher, but yet non-stock, look. I'm considering it myself. I'm beluga already with wings and rear quadrant chequer plate so it's not such a hard decision because it would blend so easily. I would never consider the full bonnet plate however! Just an opinion.

Here are three more of my past rovers that have bonnet plates. A few different colors. Actually the white one and the sandglow yellow are the same truck, just different color. One one pre-restore and post-restore.

Wow those are some really good looking Defenders! I this bonnet plate like the ones you had http://www.rover parts.com/Parts/BA120B.cfm? I agree that I do not like that full bonnet protector at all!

The one you stock Part BA120B, is it a full bonnet protector or is a center insert just like the one pictured on the above Defenders?

I actually prefer the full bonnet one, and have made my own, but mine is an old 85 110. One thing I noticed first time I drove it afterwards is how much quieter it was to drive.
