Blower Disassembly / Cleaning Advice

Need to get the red dirt out of the blower assembly before my rebuild starts.

Looking for advice on the best way to take it apart for cleaning. Shop diagrams look pretty straight forward but want to be safe before I start to dismantle it.

I would definitely be looking for some kind of replacement foam seal and heavy doses of windex to clean surfaces....

Looks like you need a HEPA filter.

Mine looked a lot like yours with heavy dirt caked on with water over time. Compressed air and small brushes got mine clean with some mild soap in the mix. Didn't take it all apart either just took time to clean.
As stated replace the seals the one between the fender and the assembly was like a rock in my truck.
Depending on your final use you may want to look into a snow cover as it has kept the direct dirt and dust from entering my fresh air intake after the rebuild. It's also not bad for rain and snow. Bearmach and many others sell for cheap in the UK.
