Blasting/stripping door tops

I have a set of ex-mod door tops (same as NAS ST I believe) that I want to strip and refinish. I want to have them blasted with a black beauty type product or something similar that's better for the aluminum. Is there any risk in having them blasted?. I just want to be sure there will be no distorting or damage to the aluminum. I would rather not do a chemical strip just to save time and effort but if that is the best option I guess I will have to. Does anyone have any suggestions?

FInd a place that can do plastic media or baking soda. Should be fine.
