BFG AT & KM noise

So, I need to switch out my tires and am deciding between these two in a 265 75r16. What do people running these think of the noise levels and on-road handling difference?

I know the D is supposed to be a bit noisy but I was wondering if the KM's would really make that much of a difference. And they look way more aggressive.

I dont offroad all that much but need some extra traction when I do for all this CO rock.

thanks,
Bill

How about the Goodyear MTR's? They are quiet and aggressive enough for CO rock.

I dont think MTR and QUIET belong in the same sentance unless you are describing what MTRS are not. LOL

The KMs are noisy but considering the rest of the noise you get with a D90, you adjust.

I have Goodyear MTR's on my softtop and they are quieter than my old BFG AT's that came on the truck. I would recommend the MTR's without hesitation! great on the road as well as off!

I have to disagree with you. Mine are/have been pretty quiet since new. They are getting a bit worn now, but still much better than the AT's the truck came with. Those were audible.

My 37" MTR's are much much quieter than the 255/85 KM that we have. It also has better rock and snow traction over the KM. However, the KM will take the MTR in mud.

I've had good experience with the BFG MT. Don't really see a lot of rocks around here, but they are fairly durable tires. My rear set has over 60,000 miles on them, with a fair amount of tread remaining. I'm actually more concerned about running on an old tire than tread loss.

As for the noise, I find a lot of all-terrains will sound almost as loud as a MT (typical radial, not a swamper) once into their usage.
