Bestop install - Where's Retainer on 94?

My '94 came with a fiberglass hardtop but has been fitted previously with a soft top with rail system. I bought a complete Bestop from Atlantic British and when I started installing it, the plastic strip on the front of the canopy is supposed to slip into a retainer between the light bar and the windshield but my D90 has no retainer. So any idea how I install the soft top? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Sounds like you need the header bar.

You can't install it without the header bar aka header rail - AB just posted an install a couple of hours ago for your top... There are some header bars on here for sale by members who are hoarding them (search), but be prepared to pay some money.
