Best price on Oil Cooler Lines?

BP had them for $80 each. Is that the going price? Seems high. Will try RN but after that, I am not sure who to call.

The general consensus is not to replace the oil lines with stock oil lines. Besides being way too expensive, they are all prone to leaking. Since BP is apparently owned by Allmakes, their hoses are probably aftermarket and inferior to even the genuine hoses. If you have the ability, ditch the stock hoses in favor of a high quality braided hose. It takes a little work but the result is worth the effort (just did mine this afternoon )

Hey Steve,

Where'd you get your oil cooler lines done at?
Haven't had time to do mine, but have been meaning to.
BTW, you never gave me that price?

Al

Hey Al,

I did the lines myself in my driveway. I've been collecting parts for a few weeks and finally got what I think will work. I'm going to test them for a couple of weeks and will probably sell them as a kit (sorry for the blatent plug Chris ). I think they will work for the transmission lines also. I'll post some pics. when I get chance.

I'll email you with that price, I forgot all about it

OK, I got the new cooler lines installed. The guy at the hose place recommended removing the old rubber and fittings and replacing with new rubber and hose clamps. The idea is that the new rubber lines will last for years given that mine is not a daily driver and also, in the event that one does rupture again, replacement would be a snap since I would not have to remove the steel tubing. He agreed that the stainless steel braided would likely last the life of the vehicle but at $100 it was a no brainer given that my hose fix cost me $10.
