Best lug nut for steel wheels

I know typically an open ended "acorn" style steel lug nut is used on wolfs, but are there any out there that won't scratch up the finish on the wheel? I know the allow nuts like on a D1 or RRC have a washer on them, but I also know those won't work on a wolf.

Any suggestions? I would hate to put put a bunch of round scratches on each lug hole on my new wheels.

They are tapered- or conical, and most of the scratching actually comes from the socket against the wheel, not from the nut itself.

slather your socket with grease before you put the lug nuts on. Does a decent job of avoiding the scratches on both the wheels and the lug nuts.

Ok. Good point....now where's the best to buy. AB has a set for $50 but they look to be aftermarket and I have had horrible experiences with aftermarket lug nuts on other vehicles.

RN has em for $89 and I don't think that's horrible
