Battery box replacement with YRM Metals?

Has anyone done the replacement of their battery box with the YRM Metals aluminum battery box? Looks like this would be a good upgrade from the mild steel original. Any advice appreciated on box replacement. I am going to replace the passenger side too since it had a heater mounted and now has 3 or 4 extra holes.

I am probably being too critical, but YRM stuff, to my mind, isn't any better than you can do yourself or have done locally.

Fair enough. I do like the idea of aluminum.
Any suggestions for a good source for a better quality or genuine part?

Not really. The YRM one is convenient. Just don't expect it to be like original, it's just bent metal.

Considering the way factory LR stuff "fits" (note quotations), it probably won't be any worse than genuine. You'll be ahead too, as it's aluminum and you won't be building a battery by using dissimilar metals.

Yrm stuff is built by a proper landie guy! He has a lovely series motor.... How do I know this? I grew up 20 miles away from him in the uk and used his parts when I lived there to repair my own motors! His farm is great, his old series is better- number plate is yrm too
