Bad tensioner pulley

I noticed my tensioner pulley has seized up and is slowly shredding my belt. Is there any harm in removing the pulley and belt while I am waiting on new parts? Don't really need the AC this time of year. Thanks

No problem at all if its just the a/c belt.

Agreed...mine crapped out on the 90 and literally spun the pulley off so I just cut the belt (my AC wasn't functioning anyhow). So long as he's not talking about the *main* tensioner on the primary belt, rather than the AC belt/pulley.
