Average Wait for Rockware Bumper?

I'm curious about how long people have usually had to wait for their bumpers to ship? I'm thinking about purchasing one in the very near future. I heard they wait until they have 10 on order then build all 10 together?

Thanks,
Chris

I was told the date of delivery for my tire carrier bumper will probably be in Feb 2008 . I've been told it's worth the wait .

I ordered a Rockware early Nov last year, it took almost 4 months. I was told when I put the order in that it would take a little longer than usual, due to some big project they had going on at the time...

It was well worth the wait!

Chris - they don't wait for an order of 10 before building. Best thing to do is call Josh and ask. Like what was mentioned, it depends on what projects they have. It takes about 6 hours of labor so they can squeeze it in somewhere. HTH. Mark

Mike - That's what I'm going to end up doing, just wanted to get a feel for the time I'm looking at. Thanks!

I seriously would not buy the tire carrier bumper. I have it and would be more than happy to sell you mine. It vibrates so bad at highway speeds and off road that I have had to remove the tire carrier altogether or strap it with a rachet strap. This mod was the worst money I have ever spent on my rover. It wasn't cheap and it took too long to get and it is a POS.

Joe, have you talked to Josh at Rockware to figure out a solution to the vibration? Do you have the jerry can holder as part of the carrier?

I have spoke to Josh and wasn't happy with the response. Yes I have the Jerry Can mounts as well.

Damn, that wasn't what I wanted to hear. IMO, you have a defective product that needs to be reengineered.

From Randy's (TDI Guy) past post about his tire carrier, Rockware had to mod his carrier, due to tire size after the fact...I don't understand why they wouldn't figure out a solution to your carriers vibration.

Not cool!

Joe - I'm interested in your tire carrier. Please PM with details and images. Does it have the full length cross member with the corner protectors, etc. Thanks. Mark

I am - Make me an offer. I need to find a new tire carrier and bumper if I sell it though. Also, this would not be cheap to ship.
