ATM battery question

I am planning to get a new battery for my 94 d90. It currently has a Optima yellow top of unknown age. I read on another forum that the regulator needs "adjusting" for an AGM, battery.

Is this true? Are regulators adjustable? If I replace it with a normal battery do I have to adjust it back?

Any help would be appreciated since it is getting cold out there and the old one just does not have it anymore.

No adjustments needed for your NAS 1994. Plug and Play...

Agreed... it will work just fine stock.

If you get a battery tender or charger, get one like a CTEK that has an AGM option.

Yes and since you're swapping now is a great time to do that. If you plan to do add ons later I would suggest going with the Optima Blue top as it has the accessory posts.

Of course the opinions on batteries here are as plentiful as the parts at Pedro's house so READ UP! plenty of searchable threads! Good Luck.
