Anyone run Michelin LTX A/Ts?

I need to put new tires on my Defender 110. I know almost everyone runs BFG TA K/Os, but I've always had good experience with Michelins. I have LTX M/Ss on my Series II 88 and the stock 4x4 XPCs on my Disco II.

Has anyone run Michelin LTX A/Ts on their Defender? I drive a mix of highway and trails. Not much mud here in Colorado, mostly rock so the strong sidewalls are appealing. I've heard stories of absurdly long tread life. Anyone have experience with them?

I've got a set on my RR. They are a very good long lasting tire, they have survived the dempster hwy, good in snow and ice, but they suck in mud.

I had LTXs on my Suburban and now I'm looking for new tires for my Defender 110 (#24). The LTXs were pretty long lasting (45k miles) because I think the compound is pretty hard and the sidewalls stiff. My 110 is pretty noisy so I'm going to add Dynamat and get quiet tires. I'm leaning towards the Michelin XPS in 235 85 16.
