Anyone POR-15 their wheels to keep them from rusting?

I have white paint on my 110's steel wheels and of course it's all rusted an looks like hell. Anyone sandblast the wheels down and paint them entirely with POR? I imagine that's the ultimate way to keep the rust sleeping for a while! Just checking to make sure it does not cause tire sealing issues.

It should work just fine, I can't think of a reason that it would be any different than paint would. Besides, POR-15 dries so hard and smooth, it should seal up fine.

I've also had great success with the Eastwood "Rust Convertor", which is their competing product. Not on wheels, but on a lot of the underside of my jeep.

On the POR products they recommend you topcoat them with any color paint because the POR paint is supposed to fade if exposed to the sun. I used it on the frame of an old FJ-40 and it worked great.

Por 15 on rims

I just did it this past summer with the silver. Looks really good. Just don't turn the side you just painted to face down as the access por 15 that accumulates in any valleys (Like the one on my American Racing 15"ers where the weld is) will form drip marks.
