Anyone know where the thing goes?

I'm digging out a take off SW cage, and I was wondering where this goes.

You can use these as reference. Hard to tell but from the diagram (and the rust) it looks like it'd be the one-piece that went up the rear (#17) and attached half-way up to #16. Again hard to tell though. They made #17 in 1 and 2 pieces.

I just assembled and disassembled my rollcage recently...

Yup there were many different variants of that section - one- and two-piece types, then differences within those depending on year. Here's another showing that rear piece in a different config, 1994 cage which shows it attaching to the longitudinal bar.
