Anyone know this truck?

New to the forum and looking for a well kept truck in the South East. Send me a PM if you have any feedback with respect to this truck. Thanks, Curry

It's been for sale for months. I've looked it over in person. It's for sale 2 miles down the road from me. It's a $15,000 truck.

Madcow, thanks for the post. Wow. 2 months, something wrong with it? When you say its a $15k truck, what puts it in that range relative to a $23k truck? New to this market and don't know much about D-90.

Curry, what are you looking for in a truck? Do you want a manual or a automatic? Color?

I am considering selling off my 97 SW.

Scott-

Interested in a manual 95 hard top. Rear bench would be huge, not 100%. Any color but yellow or red.

Dents in doors, rear cross member is all surface rusted, rust at all the hinges, front bumper is pushed back into the passenger side front fender resulting in a dent, high mileage, non-matching fender flares. The interior is very clean though.

How about mechanically? Any known issues? I am not looking for a perfect truck, just something that has the right modifications. Was the rust erosive or in critical places? Was the owner pretty firm on his price?

Follow-up Post:

John, could you send me some additional photos. a_curry_brown_jr@yahoo.com

It is worth a little more than $15K because it is one of one in this color: Connister Green

Must be rare...

Mechanically I have no idea. I have not driven it or looked under the hood. No idea on known issues other than what I told you. The rust was not "critical" but its something that should not be on a truck at that asking price. I'll see if I can get some pics this weekend if it's still where I saw it last week.

Madcow-

Appreciate the continued help, nice that you are local. No worries on the photos, I have asked that the seller send me additional pics of the rust. You offer is very generous regardless.

Side note, he has listed the truck as a private seller; however, his autotrader ad mentions "financing and shipping available...." Did you see the truck on a lot? One of the best hidden secretes in GA is that you are tax exempt if you purchase through a private seller...at least for the time being....If he is a dealer/broker, my interest will quickly change...
