anyone have experience in importing newer 110's for parts?
I'm looking for someone that has had [recent] experience in importing a >2000 110 from Europe to the US, or, if need be, Canada, as parts. I've read a lot that has been written on it, and I'm familiar with the FMVSS pages in regard to how much has to be dismantled, etc.
I know enough to know that what's published isn't always what actually happens in execution. My intention will be to dismantle it here for parts to use in a restoration, rather than have it done for me overseas.
I'm not trying to start another "what's legal" discussion, I'm just asking how anyone has accomplished this, or can recommend a reputable service that has done it for them. If it's any info you'd like private, please use a PM rather than replying.
