Hey all! Gonna do a little spring cleaning on the engine bay. Any advice? Should I wrap anything up: ie: dist cap?
Thanks

Have a ride home or to work lined up LOL

Have a rag on hand and just clean out the cap and rotor after. If you can blow air in the spark plug holes around the plugs it is good as well. I try to drive the vehicle 10 miles afterwards to use the engine heat to dry up things before parking it. Prevents no starts the next day.

Do it while it is running.

When I have pressure washed , both at the car wash and at home, I have problems starting. The two culprits have been moisture (water) getting into the distibutor and the two connectors for the ignition amplifier. Once these were dried out, starts and runs fine.

Don't use pressure, use degreaser. Pressure wash force
the water where it is not supposed to go. Gunk, rag and
garden hose will work fine.
