Any pics of a d100?

Curious if anyone had some pics of a stretched d90. But only taking the frame to a 100?
I liked my 110, but don't like the rear end hanging so far back.
Thought the 100 inch defender would be neat to try and build to get a little more room for the kids and gear

I was envisioning lengthening the frame and adding 10 inches to the tub just behind the door strikers or possibly lenghtening the doors some.

Anyone have any pics or ideas?

As for an idea -- Use a Discovery frame, they are already 100" ... A lot of people build hybrids using a discovery frame, a series body, and a defender front clip.

I happen to have several disco frames also.
That link is what I was hoping to see, any more such links pics appreciated.
Just trying to visualize the pitfalls of each method.

On the british discovery channel, they had a series called a 4X4 Is Born. I ordered the DVD from UK and it goes through it step by step They used a RR frame and chopped a series 109 tub. They were also trying to recreate a 100" defender that had been built in limited numbers by Land Rover. I think Dunsfold has one in their collection.

My dream would be a 110 Lightweight

Why not bobtail a d110 - shorten the rear overhang to the minimum possible and install underseat fuel tank(s)? Seems a lot less effort than a 100 hybrid...................

My lightweight is getting a 200tdi right now and doing well Haven't seen a 130 ltwt, but I have seen pictures of a 110 and it was beautiful.

In chopping a 110, you have to decide if your going two seater or four. I don't think a four seater would look good - no balance. And I'm not sure a two seater 110 bobtail would be balanced either. The 100" two seater really looks appropriate and I think it is a good balance between the 92.9" wheelbase and the 110".

Interesting - Granny might be at home in a rocking chair on that. I think I'll stick with the 110 LtWt as my dream car.
