Borla made stainless 304 exhausts but no more. I have a magnaflow that is rusting out. Anyone know of a real ss exhaust out there?

Maybe find a used borla? I bought one from AB when I bought back my truck. Other than being loud and hard to seal to the y-pipe flange it is great.

Try putting a magnet to it and let me know if it sticks.

My application was for a 300 TDI. It was a couple of years ago, but he had many applications, it's worth a shot to ask him. Good luck.

I had a Borla, did not like the resonance. Now have a NRP and like it much better. Both were stainless. The NRP still looks great after 2 years of use.

NRP can and does rust, but it takes a long time. Borla the only thing that rusts is the flange. My LWB was Swiss cheese but the 10+ year old borla was great except the flange was getting thin (still worked though).

The only part of the NRP that has rusted was the flange bolts. Replaced them with SS ones and problem solved.

I had one where the welds rotted out but it was a long time coming.

I had an NRP rust through the welds in the Y-pipe but this was purchased in 2002ish. I read somewhere that they improved those welds and I replaced it with a new NRP this year.

I got a Double 'S' exhaust from the UK. Can't give a review of it's performance since it's not installed yet, but the quality looks good with good mandrel bends. Close as you can get to a factory exhaust in SS I think. Britpart is a distributor so you can use their part numbers to order one from a supplier like lrdirect.com. When I ordered they refunded it a few days later because they didn't have the shipping price calculated correctly. So if you order one other than the one I did you might want to ask them for the correct price before you order. This is the one I got: DA4249 | Defender 90 | Defender | Britpart. You can also get it with the center muffler, but it adds a lot to the shipping cost. I got one of these 304 Stainless Works mufflers to add to it: Stainless Works TM5C25C25O Turbo Chambered Muffler Inlet Size 2 1 2" Center | eBay. The Double 'S' are 2.5" 409 pipe, with 304 silencers, and mild welds, like the NRP I guess (which are way overpriced IMO). Probably be a long time before it rusts out.

That's cool chip. Thanks for the suggestion but I never touch britpart. Just asking for trouble.

Britpart is not the manufacturer. They are just one of the main UK distributors. Bearmach is a distributor too. http://bearmach.com/wp-content/uploa...cts-1-2014.pdf

According to this thread there was a distributor in Victoria, BC. I tried calling the number, but I guess my calling plan won't let me call toll free numbers in Canada.
