I would not even consider PC on the axles if you wheel. But if you don't, I wouldn't think twice about it. A semi-gloss black would look great. Frame too.

One trip offroad though and you will destroy the pc and just be painting over it with rattle and it will look like ass. My axles get a little rattle can about twice a year.

Edit: Best thing I ever did was use Hammerite Paint. It's textured. Not enough to look bad, but enough where it really hides a lot of the gouges.

Thanks Buck - as much as I hate painting stuff - I'll go that route. I was thinking one of the Eastwood products but will check out the Hammerite Paint as well.
