Alternator Voltage

What voltage is your alternator producing?
My Marelli at idle is producing:
14.7 no load
14.5 lights & fan

The manual states 14.6 min. If it is still
1+ over battery voltage that should be ok? My
Little test gadget tells me my diodes are fine.
I would think the lower acceptable voltage would
be easier on the battery. Battery is putting out 12.4.

Really? I think you might be reading something wrong in the manual.

This is from the genuine manual for the NAS Defender.
