Alternator Defender 300tdi

My 90's alt is starting to scream at me and I am sure the bearings are short for this world. I was looking at the replacement units at a couple of US based suppliers (I live in Central Africa) and notice the stock is 65 Amps. I am running some upgraded headlights plus two Hella 4000 spots, radio, etc and am wondering if 65 Amps is good enough or if I need to upgrade for a replacement. Quality is also important as long life is needed here.
Easy links to a supplier with solid product that fits the 300 mounts with no or little work?

See some other notes on the boards about running some upgraded wires as well....any solid thoughts on that?

Shipping is no issue is I have someone from the States traveling through mid Feb. and can pack it along.

Thanks for the advice and leads.
