Alt W for Tach and What's this Sensor?

This is on a 2.5TD...I am hooking up a Tach and need to know which is the W Terminal that I connect the pulse wire to? In addition what typically does a 2.5TD idle at?

I am also hooking up a new water temp gauge and was wondering if this was the current sensor for that or is this the oil pressure sensor? There is no sensor at the Thermostat housing...BTW that is the left rear of the motor behind the turbo...

Hard to see the picture but it does not look like it has a W terminal. You need to pull the back off and add one.

Download the workshop manual to get idle specs and adjustment procedures.

That makes the swap a very easy job...not even a drop of coolant I imagine...

Appears that the tach wire goes to one of the connections under the black cover. Probably the small wire. Don't know what's going on with those blue wire taps but they are giving me a rash.

It might be #2 on the picture. Hard to see. The black connector is two power and the sense wire.

Me too...not sure was tapped off of those...I see a few around the engine comp that were tapped but no wire attached...there must have been lights or something else attached that is no longer...will prob pull them out and wrap with tape...

BTW I am putting a fuse block with 4 fuses in the engine comp just for things like headlights, driving lights, etc...is there already a main wire from the battery there or do I have to bring one from under the seat directly there...?
