Alloy rims

Will Defender alloy rims fit on my 1983 110?

From what I've heard you have to grind a little of the inside of the rim or get wheel spacers. Spacers are around $200.

This has been discussed a few times here, but I only found one thread with a quick search. It does point you to affordable 4mm spacers that do work though.

The spacers that Charles mentions are great, cheap and you only need two for the front wheels. The 4 mm spacers are so small that the difference between the front and rear tire stance is imperceptible. I put them on the front wheels of my 1984 d-90. The truck looks nice with the alloys.
