Air Filter Housing Dust Valve

My 94 NAS D90 is missing the dust valve that is supposed to be on the bottom side of the air filter housing. I tried the usual avenues to find a replacement (including a LR dealership and aftermarket retailers) and it seems this part is no longer made or sold. What have others done to get around this. I have a mantec snorkel on the truck, so it seems counterintuitive to leave it as is. Any advice on whether sealing this up (and how to correctly do so) or where to find a replacement is appreciated.

Thanks.

NTC3751? Not available anywhere? Maybe you can use the TDI one, NRC8955.

I emailed Paul and unfortunately he didn't have one. Thanks though. Seems to be a simple part, but limited availability for sure.

Just visit any junk yard then. Any Disco 1. The junk yards are full of them.

Thanks for the suggestion on the junk yard. I tried 6 local yards and nobody had a discovery 1. Was able to locate one with a p38 Range Rover and a discovery ii and I was able to piece something together from rubber grommets in those engine bays. Thanks again.

Dust valve ?

Have always heard that referred to as the "dump valve" where water escapes which is why they are positioned @ the lowest point on the intake. Problem with them is that as they age they tend to open which allows water in easily when wading.
