Air Conditioning

I searched guy and didnt find the answer so if this is an old question.

Where would one go to get a AC unit installed in a D-90? Does a dealer do that?

Is this something that can be done at home?

If you were to buy it, who (vendor) has the parts? What price am I looking at?

Thanks guys in advance

I know there have been a few guys that have done the installation themselves.... Or you may be able to get some guys in the area to "help" with putting it in.... Hell if you lived in CO... I work for beer!

I'm sure you can find them cheaper... Look around on ebay and various forums. Also check roversdownsouth.

If you are willing to take a used one, I likely will be ripping mine out. Works good, pumps out cold air.

If you want to install yourself and dont mind troubleshooting, go ahead and get a used one off of someone who is selling - you'll save yourself large cash.

If you want someone to install it for you, you'll probably be better off with a kit.

They really aren't terribly hard to install. The only trick is the wiring if your vehicle does not have the connectors in the wiring harness (mine did not). Otherwise, it's something you could toss together in an afternoon. Make sure you get all the brackets/parts which are different - such as the fuse panel cover. Also, if your D90 has the ECU by the passenger's feet, get ready to relocate it!
