Age of CKD Defenders

I have a CKD 110 built in New Zealand. If I run the vin (Clifton site) it states my 110 is 1983-1984 CKD. The paperwork I have from New Zealand states it's a 1985. The 110 has series style doors and series style rear sliding glass. Original motor by Vin was a 3.5 V8. Did CKD rovers run a bit behind based of shipping / assembly?

Yeah, my built in 2/88 110, vin comes back as an 86-87. But they left UK in 87 and got to assembly location and could have sat for a while. They also built them with parts they had available too, and if New Zealand is anything like Australia then there's some off the wall stuff the factory would do for you.
