Advice on an LR shop in Spokane

I am getting real close to buying a 94 d90 in Spokane. I am in Houston and have contacted a couple members up there but no one has a real good lead for a reputable, reliable shop to look it over. The seller sent me a bunch pics, door bottoms, sills battery box all seem to be pretty rust free. He's been up front about not driving it much, has a short somewhere that'll drain the battery after 2-3months, heater sux but otherwise sound. He's not sure about the oil lines, but said the previous owner kept it up real well, the pics seem to reflect that. If no one knows of a shop, I've already booked a flight to Spokane & as much as I'd like to drive it back I'd rather be safe & get it transported to Denver where there's a few shops(recommended by forum posts). I'd really like to get it checked out so if y'all know of anyone I would appreciate it.
Thanx,
Danny

Shops

Don't know a shop up there. But if you fly in and drive it back, and you have an issue on the way I would stop by GBR in Salt Lake City.

Thanx, that may actually be cheaper to transport to GBR to check it over then drive from there to Houston if no Spokane shops come up. Thanx for the idea. May see ya soon, we’ll be moving to Durango within the year.

Fly up and drive to GBR. A lot of beautiful country between here and there. Have them check it over and you can check out SLC while you are here. I drove my 1997 to Canada within 2 months of buying it without much more than an inspection (buy a fire extinguisher if you are worried about oil lines - or buy a set and install there). The Defender, as you know, are bog simple and have much fewer issues than other LR products. Recently drove out in my buddies D1 (200K+ miles on the engine) to Steamboat Spring bought a new (to me) DD, camped about in Colorado and drove it back here. I think it was about 800 miles. Of course it was (ashamed) a Land Cruiser. LOL! Seriously though you can bunk here for a night. Hell, I will even buy you a beer (yes there is decent beer here). Good luck with whatever avenue you decide to take.
