Adding a step to a tree slider

Just replaced my sills with tree sliders. With a 3" lift, my 7 year old was struggling to get in since I had to pull the folding steps off. Taking solutions I've seen from construction equipment, I made this chain step using some 1" metal strap from Home Depot and 3/8" chain. Now the first step is about the same as the wife's D2.

Based on my research I know I'm not the only one who ran into this problem looking for ideas. Not the way, but a way.

Google "jeep stirrup". Pretty easy solution and you can always toss them inside the truck of the kid isn't going to be with you.
