Accelerator cable lengths?

I'm trying to track down an accelerator cable of the right size for my 200tdi conversion. The one I have currently is roughly 47-48". It feels a bit too long for my needs. I've read that NTC2743 is about 38" which I think would do my just fine. The problem is I can't find a way to confirm this, or the length of any other accelerator cable. Anyone have a suggestion for my dilemma?

I would check with Rovers North. They show a lot of variations being in stock so maybe they can measure.
I do know part NTC4842 (RR 3.5 efi) is too long at 60".

It's a LHD s2a conversion. I'm fairly certain the engine bay on these older Series vehicles is smaller than that of a Disco and Defender. 42" would probably work too. You don't happen to know the part # for yours do you?

sorry I don't have the number to hand, I will have to flash up the spare server in the basement to find it.

Any help is greatly appreciated. This is what I've been working with. You can probably sense how frustrating it can be when a search of each of these comes up with just a generic pic of a looped cable and no other information.

Well, LRDirect didn't want to help. I strung a rope in an easy loop from the pump to the pedal mount and it's was about 38" long. I think I'll order NTC2743 and see how it goes.

Here's another quick question. How much of a role should the spring on the injector pump play in returning the pedal? I'm wondering if I need a spring on the gas pedal or not. I can't tell from my current setup because the long cable has too many curves.

You probably want a spring on the pedal cz it'll rattle like crazy when you lift your foot.
