AC Temp Switch and Wire

Have a brand new fascia for my AC and it has the wire that is supposed to go from the temp switch to the fins in the blower unattached. Wondering how to attach it to the temp switch.

I thinkjI figured out where it attatches it just looks like it should be soldered in place. The coil appears to be a tube and there is a part of thw switch were it should attach. Can I just make the hole on the swithc bigger and instert the tube or will this not work?

I have the same switch ... to be honest I'd find an AC engineer to look at this ... or if I were feeling brave carefully dismantle the switch and see how to unsolder the remainder of the old tube - you need to be really careful as you need to determine how it fits together without breaking it further.
